ENG I'm back after two weeks (missed you, and blogging) of celebrating Globe Hope's ten-year birthday, and crocheting a rug of recycled materials (I'll soon write about that, too)...
...and enjoying the early summer in Finland (in the Finnish Lapland it's hotter than in Portugal for the moment), and making wreaths of inner tubes and keyboard parts, and putting together Recyclie's new fb pages!
I completed the above wreath at a Globe Hope workshop – a big up for the nice idea & inspiration! Here's what turned out a true black and white lover's wreath model (no girlie bows for me, thank you)!
Making an Inner Tube Wreath 1. Make a base by scrunching a strip of recycled plastic advertising banner to obtain a wreath shape. Fix it in place by twisting wire around it. 2. Cut inner tube into strips and form "eights" (See the above picture) by gluing the ends (always the right side up) on each other. Finally, glue the inner tube "eights" on the base with an instant adhesive, decorate with pieces of keyboard, and use a length of inner tube to hang. (Be sure to wash the inner tire well for the glue to stick.)

(siinä ajassa ehti jo tulla ikävä teitä, ja bloggaamista)... juhlittuani Globe Hopen kymmenvuotissynttäreitä, nautittuani alkukesästä Suomessa, pistettyäni pystyyn Recyclien uudet fb-sivut, virkattuani
maton kierrätysmateriaaleista (kerron siitäkin pian lisää) ja väsättyäni seppeleen sisäkumista ja näppäimistä, huh!
Tein siis yläkuvissa näkyvän kranssin Globe Hopen työpajassa –
iso kiitos kivasta ideasta ja innoituksesta! Seppeleestä tuli
todellinen rakkaudenosoitus mustalle ja valkoiselle (ei mitään
tyttömäisiä rusetteja minulle, kiitos)!
Sisäkumikranssin valmistaminen 1. Tee ensin kranssin pohja
kierrätysmuovisesta mainosbannerista rutistelemalla. Kiinnitä se
seppeleen muotoon kiertämällä ympärille rautalankaa. 2.
Leikkaa sisäkumista suikaleita ja tee niistä "kahdeksikkoja"
(katso yläkuvaa) liimaamalla suikaleen päät toisiinsa (aina oikea
puoli ylöspäin). Liimaa lopuksi ”sisäkumikahdeksikot"
kranssipohjaan pikaliimalla, koristele kranssi käytöstä poistetuilla
näppäimillä ja ripusta se sisärenkaan pätkästä. (Pese sisäkumi hyvin, muuten liima ei pidä.)
ITA Sono tornata dopo due settimane (mi siete mancati, così come mi è mancato il blogging)... dopo aver celebrato il decimo compleanno di Globe Hope, fatto all'uncinetto un tappeto di materiali riciclati (presto scriverò anche di questo), goduta l'inizio estate Finlandese (per il momento nella Lapponia finlandese fa più caldo persino del Portogallo), messo su le nuove pagine fb Recyclie e realizzato una ghirlanda di camere d'aria e parti di tastiera!
La corona, nelle foto sopra, l'ho completata ad un workshop Globe Hope – grazie mille per l'idea e bellissime fonti d'ispirazione! Ecco, si è rivelata una vera ghirlanda degli amanti del bianco e nero (niente fiocchetti femminili per me, grazie)!
Come creare una corona di camere d'aria: 1. Formare una base accartocciando una striscia ricavata da un vecchio banner pubblicitario di plastica per ottenere una forma di corona. Fissarla ruotando un filo metallico intorno ad esso. 2. Tagliare un pezzo di camera d'aria in strisce e formare degli "otto" (vedi foto sopra) incollando le estremità (sempre il lato destro verso l'alto) una sull'altra. Infine, incollare gli "otto" così ricavati sulla base con un adesivo istantaneo, decorare con pezzi di tastiera, ed utilizzare un pezzo di camera d'aria per appendere. (NB Lavare bene le camere d'aria, se no, la colla non mantiene.)
